Branding Ideas

Over the last few weeks I have been thinking about the branding and business side of the department store. Although only tentative designs, I have come up with a few logo ideas which I may tweak and decide to use for my topic.

  1. The Half Stitch- I thought this name worked with the ethos of the brand and the idea of Wasi-Sabi and upcycle objects.

2. I really love this brand name. I think it links to the topic really well, the idea that items are given a new lease of life.

3. I love the name. I feel it really says what it does on the tin. By giving away unloved items- you are essentially passing the baton and giving them to the next generation.

4, I love the simplicity of this name. The word 'begagnande' in English translates as 'used'. I looked into Swedish words, as I have taken a lot of inspiration from their second-hand retail shops.

5. This is more of a person branding name idea- using family names. However, I really do think they sound smart. I think it is important when designing a second-hand shop to ensure the name doesn't sound old- fashioned. Instead, I would like the shop to sound expensive and boutique like.

6. I love the simplicity of this signage. This is inspired from Drew Pritchard's branding.
